Event Details

The Australian Wine Society and HHD Imports, invite you to an exclusive wine dinner showcasing Stella Bella Wines. The beginnings of Stella Bella Wines date back to the release of 200 cases of the single vineyard Suckfizzle Sauvignon Blanc Semillon in 1999 by winemakers Janice McDonald and Stuart Pym. In 2001 the first Stella Bella wines, a Moscato style Pink Muscat and a Sangiovese Cabernet were released. The Skuttlebutt an everyday drinking style, was released in 2003.

From this modest and eclectic beginning, Stella Bella Wines has experienced rapid growth, broad critical acclaim and a reputation for producing individually crafted Margaret River wines of great expression, personality and quality. Our Special Guest, Winemaker, Stuart Pym will lead us through each of his wines, paired with the following menu, prepared by George’s Executive Chef, Lorenzo Loseto.

The evening will start at 6:30 with a reception wine, the Skuttlebutt 2008 Sauvignon Blanc/ Semillon. Skuttlebutt is an antiquated nautical term for the source of drinking water on sea going vessels has the derived meaning of slang, gossip, chitta chatta, rumour etc. This is a chance to catch up with friends over a glass of good wine, then sit down for a fine five course dinner. Here’s the menu.

Australian Wine Society of Toronto

The Australian Wine Society (AWS) of Toronto is a not-for-profit organization devoted to the enjoyment of Australian wines. Through exposure to, and education about the wines and wine regions of Australia, the Society seeks to encourage a greater awareness of the wine varietals, the diversity and the styles of Aussie wines, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The opportunity to try a wide range of wines makes it easier for members to decide what types they might want to purchase through wine agents, the LCBO, Vintages monthly releases and the Classics Catalogue.
